Before the public wall

An audience is often treated as the reason to keep a small creative artifact. Dayglass begins one step earlier. An object can be worth a moment of deliberate attention even when nobody else will see it. The private vitrine gives that moment a container and a closing time.

The short window changes what might enter. A lunch-hour sketch or a same-day print need not compete with the most polished thing a maker has ever produced. It only needs to belong to today. A title and wall line carry enough context for the object to remain legible when the day is no longer present.

The next local date changes the display into a sealed drawer. That transition is intentionally limited: it does not publish the card or create a shared registry. The distinction keeps the intimate act of selecting an object separate from the social act of distributing it. A future public wall would require different decisions about storage, access and ownership; this local version does not pretend those decisions have been made.

The folio stores one pinned card for each browser-local date. Before midnight the pin can be lifted and the selection changed. Prior dates appear as sealed drawers when the calendar rolls forward. The current card and history remain in browser storage; clearing that storage removes them. A public wall and an on-chain registry are not connected.
